External Logging

EPAS is able to perform external logging of all actions performed on the administrative console; all external logging operations are performed using the syslog protocol specifications. External logging can be enabled by navigating to the System → Log Data page.

• Tick the checkbox for enabling the syslog external logging feature.
• Enter the IP address of the syslog server.
• Enter the UDP port number corresponding to the syslog server.
• Click Update logging settings to save the settings and enable the syslog external logging features.

Note

In case the syslog server is down or not responding, operations which perform logging actions might take additional time to finish, as the logger service is waiting for confirmation from the syslog server.
